Brain Integration Technique (BIT)

This technique has two common names, LEAP and Crossinology Brain Integration Technique. It's purpose is to improve brain function and help with learning disabilities through three fields of study:

- Brain Physiology, the science behind how the brain functions.

- Chinese Medicine, through the use of acupressure points.

- Kinesiology, through body movement and musculature.

WHAT IS AN INTEGRATED BRAIN?

An integrated brain is one that is well organized, synchronized, and efficient. When a brain is not integrated, it usually means there is a stressor in one or various pathways or structures of the brain, this could be a physical stressor, an emotional stressor, or a chemical stressor.

When stressors are present in the brain, they can prevent a person's ability to access their full potential.

These stressors can show up as difficulties accomplishing certain tasks, such as the ability to focus, learning difficulties and/or dyslexia. Leaving these stressors unattended can lead to a person giving up on certain capacities all together, leading to a lack of self worth and self-confidence.

HOW BRAIN INTEGRATION TECHNIQUE CAN HELP

BIT helps rewire the brain by applying a basic protocol using the body through acupressure point. The combination of these points are called brain formats, leading to the activation of specific structures in the brain. Once these have been activated, a practitioner will verify whether or not the stressor remains through muscle feedback. If the stressor remains, a correction technique is applied to release it. This process is repeated for each stressor until they are gone.

The number of hours required to complete this basic protocol will vary based on the severity of the adult or child's difficulties. Slight difficulties can take up to 12 hours, while severe difficulties can take up to 20 hours.

Once every stressor has been checked and cleared, and the basic protocol is complete, part two is initiated where we challenge the brain with specific learning tasks. This allows us to identify other possible stressors to be released.

HOW DOES THIS WORK HELP DIFFERENTLY-ABLED KIDS?

This work is wonderful for differently-abled kids because it reinforces the brain's foundation for learning either by improving the child's memory, concentration, or simply by making it easier for them to accomplish certain tasks, such as processing auditory and/or visual stimuli, as well as daily living tasks, language development, and cognitive skills.

The major difference between BIT and other forms of educational support, such as tutoring, resource teaching and speech/language pathology is that it addresses the unconscious components that are involved in learning.

BIT is all the more successful when combined with these other forms of support.
